The KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) organized an International Conference on Mental Health- “Research, Innovation & Technological Advancements in Mental Health” RITAMH, 2024 during December 6-8, 2024 at KIIT Campus, Bhubaneswar. This event was organized through a consortium of institutions including DPSSDM-NIMHANS, Bangalore, RMRC-ICMR, Bhubaneswar and NAMAH Foundation, Bhubaneswar. The inaugural session was attended by distinguished dignitaries, speakers and guests, including Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder of KIIT, KISS and KIMS; Prof. Saranjit Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of KIIT-DU; Prof. Sonia Suchday, Professor of Psychology, Pace University, USA, Dr. Anna Salomi Kerkketa, Scientist-G at RMRC-ICMR, Bhubaneswar; Dr. Ramya Pinnamaneni (Director, KSPH); and Shri R. Prasana, IAS, Principal Secretary of Higher Education, Government of Chhattisgarh who joined virtually as Chief Guest. The conference was Chaired by Prof. Bhuputra Panda, Professor, School of Public Health, KIIT-DU and Patron and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of RITAMH-2024.
Participants and keynote speakers from across the globe participated in this international conference. Speakers from Poland, Serbia, USA, Bangladesh, South Africa and Nepal contributed through paper presentations and keynote addresses. Other participants from across India, comprising of academicians, researchers, students, and mental health professionals facilitated an enriching exchange of knowledge throughout the conference.
Prof. Achyuta Samanta was felicitated with the “Philanthropic Icon of the Century” Award by the consortium of institutions for his exceptional contributions to education, social empowerment and philanthropy.
The Valedictory and Certification session was attended by Dr. Sanghamitra Pati, ADG, ICMR, Prof. Moss from South Africa and other dignitaries. RITAMH, 2024 provided a unique platform to debate, discuss and share pioneering research and innovation work, mental health practices and technological advancements in the field of mental health. The conference featured several insightful sessions both in online and offline tracks and encouraged diverse perspectives, fostering global collaborations to ensure sustainable progress in the discipline of mental health.
