Saumya Ranjan Pani
Faculty Associate
Mr. Pani holds a post-graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Science with a specialization in Pharmacology from Utkal University, Odisha, India. He initiated his professional journey as a laboratory researcher in pharmacology in 2009 before transitioning to the field of public health. In 2014, he obtained formal education in public health through a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management from the Indian Institute of Public Health-Bhubaneswar (IIPHB), affiliated with the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). With over 8 years of experience in public health research and management, Mr. Pani has been involved in numerous community-based research and development initiatives supported by international organizations like ACCESS Health International and UNICEF, as well as local entities such as the Child in Need Institute (West Bengal), Odisha Livelihoods Mission (Government of Odisha), Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (Government of Odisha), TATA Trust, and Living Farms, Odisha. Joining the PHFI as a 'Research Fellow' in 2018, he has since been engaged in diverse research and evaluation projects related to health systems and human resources for health. In August 2023, he commenced his role as a Faculty Associate at KSPH, teaching Master's degree students in subjects such as Biostatistics, Health Economics, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, and Data Analysis. Additionally, he manages administrative duties related to FIC-Alumni Relations and Social Media. Concurrently, Mr. Pani is engaged in doctoral research within the field of Public Health at KIIT deemed to be university.

Digital health and health informatics, non-communicable diseases, aging, maternal and child health interventions, social epidemiology, health financing, human resources for health, and health systems strengthening.
