Extensive discussion and hand-on sessions were held on Fundamentals of Quality, Quality and Accreditation, Key Elements of Quality Improvement, Juran’s Triology, Quality Improvement Tools, Clinical Audit, Six Sigma, NABH and JCI Accreditation.  Resource persons from within the School of Public Health and from the Industry focused on various sessions.  Prof (Dr) Bhuputra Panda, Director KSPH, Prof. Purnima Bhoi and Prof Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan from the pool of faculty experts of KSPH contributed to various sessions.  Industry experts Dr. Saktimaya Mohapatra, Facility Director of KIMS Hospital, Dr. Sarvjeet Nayak, Dy Medical Superintendent of Utkal Hospital and Ms. Aparna Pal Som, Manager Quality, Utkal Hospital, Bhubaneswar joined as resource persons in this workshop.

This workshop offered theoretical understanding about quality of care and practical exposure about the process and steps involved in assessing quality. Participants, mostly students of hospital administration have greatly benefited from this workshop and appreciated the efforts of resource persons in offering them a comprehensive and exhaustive understanding about the subject which is critical for hospitals and healthcare institutions.
