Sudhir Kumar Satpathy


Dr. S. K. Satpathy, a medical doctor, specialized in preventive and social medicine (MD), public health and epidemiology has a distinguished professional career of 40 years mainly serving developing countries like India and Nigeria. He has worked with Govt. of India, NGOs (PHFI), International agencies and private sector in a lead role. His major contribution is capacity building of public health professional, mentoring public health programs, establishing quality assurance mechanism in public health facilities, Indian public health standards (IPHS), initiation of surveillance system for HIV/AIDS, SARS, Influenza, Malaria and expansion of public health education in India and Nigeria. Besides, he has expertise in health systems innovations, health infrastructure including public health supply chain management, project management, monitoring and evaluation at national and state levels in lead positions. He is passionate about preparing competent public health work force, well functioning health facility, advocacy, generating evidence to influence policy and collaborations at local, national and international levels.
